Prison Writings: My Life is My Sundance - This book was written from behind the cold prison bars of Leavenworth Penitentiary by Leonard Peltier, who has been called America's Nelson Mandela. Peltier is serving two life sentences for crimes the U.S. government has admitted they can't prove were even committed by Peltier. He is considered by Amnesty International & many other humanitarian organizations to be a political prisoner.

Harvey Arden, the book's editor:
"Leonard Peltier's powerful memoir, a Native American spiritual testament, will shake the conscience of the nation... and the world. It's a flaming arrow aimed at the circled wagons of American injustice."

Archbishop Desmond Tutu:
"A deeply moving and very disturbing story of a gross miscarriage of justice & an eloquent cri de coeur of Native Americans for redress & to be regarded as human beings with inalienable rights guaranteed under the United States Constitution... We pray that it does not fall on deaf ears. America owes it to herself."

Have You Thought of Leonard Peltier Lately? - This book, Have You Thought of Leonard Peltier Lately?, wasn't written. It was ... and continues to be ... lived. What you read and see in these pages are the artifacts of an ongoing struggle for one man's freedom and for all of our self-respect.

Harvey Arden:
"With the help of my editor and friend George Blitch, we have assembled living pieces and patches of my own and others agonizing struggle to save what remains of the life of one very extraordinary human being named leonard Peltier ~ USP (United States Prisoner) #89637-132 ~ now beginning his 29th year as a "houseguest in Hell" at Leavenworth Penitentiary for a crime he simply did not commit. ~Harvey Arden

Leonard Peltier:
"I'M STILL HERE. I am all at once saddened, exhilarated, angry, proud, defiant, and puzzled by that fact. Here in prison, after 28 years of unjust incarceration, I am a living example of the injustice, racism, fear, and inequity that still exists in some parts of the United States of America. This is particularly true when it comes to America's views and actions towards Indian people. My name is Leonard Peltier, but I draw breath as the living embodiment of a greater cause than just one man's freedom. Every nation must include, as a part of its very fiber and rationalization, a constant demand and vigilance for justice. More than anything, I desire this. I pray for peace and justice. One cannot truly exist without the other.

"I'M STILL HERE. Now what are we going to do about it?

NEW VERSION OF FBI FILES NOW AVAILABLE! - The new book is entitled The Case of Leonard Peltier, Evidence and Documentation of a Wrongful Conviction.

The Leonard Peltier Defense Committee has completed a new compilation of court records, testimony, affidavits, interviews, and FBI documents. The book is titled, "The Case of Leonard Peltier, Evidence and Documentation of a Wrongful Conviction" and it contains the "statement of facts" written by Attorney Jennifer Harbury with inserted references to key documents, a table of contents describing each document and its relevance, and the documents themselves.

This is an improved and updated version of the LPDC's "FBI files." This book is enhanced with more documentation on the FBI's surveillance of AIM, excerpts from an interview with the Jury Foreman of the Butler Robideau trial, excerpts from an interview with a former GOON, affidavits and testimony from key people, reports from the US Civil Rights Commission, more court documentation, and updated letters of support.

We tried to make it easy for the reader to link the case data as presented in Harbury's "statement of fact" to supporting documentation. We also presented the documents with little commentary so that the reader can draw her or his own conclusion independently. We did this so that the book could be multi-purpose, and used not only to educate ourselves and our allies, but those who may be more skeptical or cautious. This book will also be useful in lobbying our Senators and Congress People.
